Current

I work as a category advisor for L'Oreal within customer supply chain, focused on supporting Walmart initiatives. My day-to-day consists of managing the relationship, providing analytics and insight, and ensuring long-term projects remain on track. I was selected to co-lead the CPD (Consumer Packaged Division) Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion team where we collaborate cross-functionally across the organization to develop and implement our initiatives.

I have experience and expertise in a wide variety of business intelligence tools listed below.

Previous

Previously, I worked on an advanced analytics team for Unilever within the category management function at our Rogers, AR sales office. My team of 5 was recognized by the organization, at a global level, as best in class for the creation of a tool that utilized vast amounts of data to create a cohesive, simple dashboard that highlighted opportunity to action. My specialty within the team was data analysis and visualization, with a strong focus on dashboard creation. I worked in a collaborative effort across multiple functions, including: sales, supply chain, and category management.

There I co-led our diversity & inclusion business resource group within the office. The goal was to not only engage and educate within the office, but participate and engage with the local community. Alongside that, I led the effort to make our office more sustainable.

Prior to that, I managed a retail store: Name Brand Clothing. We sold discounted and/or returned goods from department stores. Not only did we have to merchandise clothing, but housewares, shoes, and electronics. I was responsible for hiring, training, and managing 10-12 full and part-time employees.

In the summer of 2014 I was part of a team that founded and started a local chocolate company: Markham & Fitz. I initially helped out by developing the branding and packaging. Eventually I moved into both a financial and operational role. I mainted and evaluated the financials of the company, as well as, established operational procedures and protocols.

Where I Dabble

HTML/CSS

I set up this site by taking a prefabricated website template, customizing it to my specifications and publishing it through GitHub. If you want to check out the repository, you can find me on GitHub at boombranco.

Technology

Technology is ever changing and exponentially evolving. It is massively important to stay on top of the latest trends and products.

Programming Languages

I have a working understanding of programming languages and have dabbled in the likes of Python, R, C#, and SQL.

Entrepreneurship

Whether it is Entrepreneurship or Intrapreneurship, being able to build something from the ground up really sharpens skills you never thought you had. That is why I am proud to have been a Co-Founder of Markham & Fitz.

Sustainability

I implemented a recycling program for my previous office, and for the entire building complex where we leased. I personally purchase carbon offsets for yearly energy consumption.

Diversity and Inclusion

I am a co-chair of a business resource group that focuses on creating a more diverse and inclusive workspace and community.

Mentorship

I am currently investing time by mentoring a couple full-time MBA students at the University of Arkansas.

Travel

I love experiencing new places and cultures. It is so refreshing to get out of your daily rythm and try new things and meet people that are different than you.

Soccer

I have been playing soccer since I was in elementary school. It is just a fun sport that requires strategy, coordination, and teamwork.

Fashion Design

My undergraduate degree was in Apparel Merchandising. There is so much creativity that can go into the simplest of garments. My clothing of choice: basics.
